The Hridvisi, or “Storm Prince”, is a river that flows through the northwest plains before emptying into Ysmir’s Hand. It gets its name from its frequent rapids and easy flooding thanks to the storms that rage across the steppes. Because of this, it is rarely used by boats as a means of travel or trade, with the exception of a few daring or insane captains who test their skill in exchange for gold. In the deserts, some stretches of the river have dangerous sulfur springs that belch choking toxins. For reasons not clear, the weather of the Steppes doesn’t seem to obey the rules, and no matter the season it can go from oppressively hot to freezing cold within a few days seemingly at random (though on average the winters are colder and summers hotter still).
