The first god created by Ysmir and oldest of the first three brothers, Jarl represents law, order, and balance. He is usually depicted as an older warrior with a large white beard and a huge greatsword, Lǫgsgumaðr. One of his chief roles amongst the Pantheon is keeping the Primordials in check. Jarl is the husband of Eir, and the father of Sigvodr and Astorian.
Jarl is not widely worshipped, as he rarely involves himself in what he deems to be petty human conflicts, but anyone who seeks to lead will mutter a silent pray to the High Lord. More often, his name and scripture associated with him shows up on official or government documents, as a way of lending credence to the laws that uphold them.
